Homerdome

The Sox new "ace" took the hill tonight up in the land of whole-lotta-lakes. He showed some good command, and a great breaking ball, while striking out a season high 9 Twinkies. But he wasn't as sharp as he could be, giving up 3 HR's on the night. This starts to play into my theory about how much he was helped by playing in Safeco. It's too early to tell though. One thing he didn't have in Seattle was MLB's best offense helping him out. The Sox scored in each of the first 4 innings, and homered 4 times. I'm not so sure that Freddy knew what to do with all of the run support.

That's 4 in a row for the Sox, and puts us a game up in the AL Central. Now let's keep running 'em off. Hey, if Tampa Bay can win 12 in a row, so can the Sox.
