In the Tour today, Robbie McEwan was the big winner, finishing third, but gaining enough in time bonuses to take over the Yellow Jersey.

The big loser on the day was Iban Mayo. He lost almost 4 minutes to most of his rivals, and as the picture shows lost some skin along the way.

Armstrong, Ulrich, and Hamilton came through the day unscathed. They now appear to be the three who will finish on the Podium, with the order to be determined over the next 3 weeks.

Tomorrow is the team time trial, where Mayo figures to lose more time to Lance, Jan, and Tyler. Teams to watch: Phonak(Tyler Hamilton), T-Mobile(Jan Ulrich), USPS(Lance Armstrong), CSC(Ivan Basso) Liberty Seguros(Roberto Heras). Liberty Seguros is filled with mostly climbers, but Manalo Saiz, former coach of time-trialing machine ONCE, heading Liberty's actions, I expect them to compete. Overall, I think that CSC, Phonak, and USPS have the strongest teams, in that order. And if that holds true, Jens Voight will be in yellow after tomorrows race.
