From the Daily Southtown
Sox catcher Sandy Alomar Jr. said his younger brother, second baseman Roberto Alomar, is done for the season.
For the second time in a month, Roberto has returned home to Arizona to get treatment on his lower back. He left the team after Sunday's game.
Alomar, whom the Sox acquired from Arizona on Aug. 5, had not played since Sept. 5 because of pain in his lower back caused by a pulled muscle. Sandy said the setback doesn't mean Roberto is ready to call it a career yet.
Thanks Sandy. You should have let the team know back in March that you
were done for the season.
