The GM meetings are currently being held in Florida, and there's more misinformation spewing from them than from either of the two presidential campaigns.
If you believe what you hear through the grape vine, anybody and everybody is available. Oakland's Big Three? Being shopped. Jorge Posada? Shopped. Randy Johnson? Shopped. Paul Konerko? Shopped.
Surprisingly there actually was a trade made. The Royals sent Darryl May and some Bukvich guy to San Diego in exchange for Dennis Tankersley and Terrence Long. The AL Central will never be the same again. HA... Allard Baird is rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Seriously, What does he have? Greinke? OK. Sweeney? Shopped.
The GM meeting is a junior high dance compared to December's winter meetings Senior Prom. There is a lot of uneasiness and posturing at the GM Meetings. At the winter meetings teams know what they want, how to get it, and whom to get it from.
So until the Winter Meetings roll around in mid-December, don't get too excited that you're talking to the most popular girl in school. In a month she'll probably have dumped you for the jock with the nice car.
