TangoTiger is once again putting together his "Scouting Report by the Fans for the Fans". I'd link to last year's results, but he's taken them down in an effort to lessen influence on this year's results. I seem to recall Aaron Rowand and Magglio Ordonez, being ranked among the top of their respective positions.
So if you can find the time, head on over to Tango's site, and fill out info for those players you feel comfortable giving an accurate report on.
I didn't give a report on Wilson Valdez, he hardly played at all and when he did it was often 2B; Sandy, I honestly don't even remember him behind the plate in '04; Roberto, he played only a handful of games in a sox uni; and Maggs, I don't really remember if he was having a good defensive season or not.
If you don't have an opinion on a particular characteristic of that player, then go on to the next characteristic for that player. This applies especially for you TV watchers, and you can't tell how well Torii Hunter can read the ball off the bat.
And, most importantly, do not, absolutely do not, look at any numbers. Don't look at his fielding percentage, range factor, zone rating, UZR, or anything else that someone else is telling you. I just want you to rely on your eyes. You are the scout. I need you to rely completely on your own observations.
Please take the time to read the instructions on Tango's page
