Sox Radio on the Move?

According to Todd Greenstein's column in today's Trib, the Sox have a deal in the works with 670-AM to move broadcast rights for their games from the current location at ESPN 1000. This does not come as a suprise.

Monday featured a cold interview with Jerry Reinsdorf on Carmen and Silvy's show. Then yesterday, Mac, Jurko and Harry were denied the opportunity to replay the interview either in part, or in it's entirety.

According to Joe Cowley(no not that Joe Cowley), who we welcome back from a fight with cancer, Marte's beaning of Carlos Lee in spring training was indeed intentional. I suspected as much. Cowley writes:
Damaso Marte said all the right things, simply describing it as an inside pitch that got away.

But his White Sox teammates and the coaching staff knew it was so much more.

When the left-handed reliever drilled former teammate Carlos Lee in a spring training meeting with Milwaukee on March 23, it was payback for two years worth of frustration.

Lee was a bully to Marte. He often ridiculed Marte's poor upbringing in the Dominican Republic, would sneak up and slap Marte on the back of the neck and would make Marte the butt of his jokes. In other words, Lee was a participant in the kind of selfish behavior the Sox tried to distance themselves from during the past offseason.

"We all knew it was coming," one Sox player said of the Cactus League incident, "and it will probably happen again."

Update: I was listening to Mac, Jurko, and Harry on the way to dinner tonight, and they said that they have been given the go ahead by the suits to play the now infamous JR interview. They will replay the full interview during Thursday's show. (listen here)
